![]() ![]() They may try for a graduated spot between WU and WO. While this upvcoming "official server" version of Wurm may have regularly incurring costs such as a subscription and a cap on skills for 'free' players, not all the details are yet worked out. Wurm is gearing up for a new Steam-only release of an official 'fresh start' server sometime in 2020, and one of the consequences is that new content updates =will= be ended for WU, beyond maybe one final bug fix. Fishing was overhauled top to bottom, to make it more interesting for advanced players (it is a little less helpful to new players than in past years, where a fishing pole was one of the first tools to make as a new player to stay fed.)Īlso five new horse colors, if you are really into horses :) There was a Cooking Overhaul that changes the way cooking works to base it on a calories-carbs-proteins-fats system. If you have not played WU or WO in a very long time, there is a lot of very new "official" stuff too! These usually CAN be detected by the server admins, and are often a bannable offense, so make sure to check the ruleset of a server before using these, as the majority of people do get caught and banned. It puts a small minimmap on the screen so that you can see what is in your immediate area.ĮSP MOD: There is probably no more more controversial mod out there than this one. LiveMap is probably the most popular and useful client mod. Client mods are more "cosmetic" in nature, affecting mostly just the info you see on your own screen, and can be installed by anyone, although they too have huge potential impacts on gameplay for the community, see ESP Mod.). It's a nice refresher (or complete intro to) Ago's Clientside ModLauncher, as well as discussing some of the more popular mods.Ĭomplete mod List is here, you need to scroll past "Server Mods" down to "Client Mods" (I know you already know the difference, but it is useful to point out to other new players who might read this post, Pretty much, only server admins can install server mods, as they change deep gameplay mecahnics.
